Mission:
To make positive change for children in need in Afghanistan.
Objectives:
(SCAO) has 3 strategic objectives:
1- To reduce all kind of discrimination against children.
2- To promote and protect child rights.
3- To provide better future for children.
1-Combating against discrimination:
Reducing of discrimination against children is one of the main points of (SCAO) activities.
In this case (SCAO) will try to promote public– information by supplying centers for families to aware them from children basic rights and learn them that however children are small but they have the rights and human dignity that adults have them.
2-To promote and protect child rights:
To promote and protect child rights require (SCAO)’s highly efforts to arise people’s awareness level about child rights and dignity. (SCAO) will try for reducing of all kinds of corporal punishment which accurse against children in their homes.
3- To provide better future for children:
Living in a peaceful condition is the rights of every person who live in a community.
For obtaining of this proposes (SCAO) will take in hand the following activities:
ü Increasing of people’s skill in child rights and advising people’s awareness level from non violent behavior profit in the disciplining of children.
ü Increasing awareness of people in nitration health care and harms of malnutrition during children’s growing up period.
ü Preparing adequate food save water and shelter for those children and orphans who effected by conflict and war.
ü Arising of people’s awareness level in understanding child development.
ü Impelling of people to allow their children to go to school and providing of education material for poor children.
ü Facilitating of schools in propose of obtaining best quality.
ü Training of teachers in getting non-violent communication with children and brings school children to discipline with friendly behavior.
ü Combating against sexual exploitation of children.
ü Making education safe and accessible for children.

Save the children Afghanistan Organization (SCAO) is a non-governmental ,non-sectarian, non-political, non-profit development organization committed to make lasting positive changes in the lives of children in need in Afghanistan.
This organization founded on 28/8/2008 by M.karim Sorosh
.accordance with Afghanistan’s constitution civil and non-governmental organizations law’s aimed to work in all provinces of Afghanistan, pursuing the vision of the world in which every child is ensured the rights to survival protection .development and participation as set forth in the UN convention on the rights of the child. Save the Children Afghanistan Organization seeks to improve children quality of life through programs in health, education, child protection, child rights promotion, Civil Services, Nutrition and reducing all kind of discrimination against children.
Save the Children Afghanistan (SCAO) strives to work with government and other educational agencies for strengthening of education system.
Save the Children Afghanistan will lead a great campaign for reducing corporal punishment for families in all provinces of Afghanistan.
Current activities:
Train’s managements and Child protection, Child Rights, agents of disability for staff and parents
Meetings held with children in Kabul and other provinces about education and problems.
Survey and investigation of children’s condition and asking about their problems – specially disable orphans and poor children
Taking and making decisions and planes how to reduce these problems of Children.
Train's Child Rights, Inclusive Education, agents of disability for parents and mothers in Kabul.
Helped with NOG's and Ministry of education and Ministry of labor, Social Affairs, martyrs and Disabled
Training of woman’s about the rights, protection and health of children in Kabul Afghanistan
Researching about valiance children and advocacy by media.
Researching about how many children killed in the war and advocacy by media
Coordination with those Organizations whom are works about inclusive education and help disabled children.
Our Operating Principles:
· Have a national scope,
· Make a lasting difference in the lives of Afghanistan’s children,
· Identify and support best practices without reinventing the wheel,
· Identify major challenges facing the children and youth and provide guidance on how to over come them,
· To facilitate the deepening of faith and cultural values that supports a high standard of moral behaviors and gender-sensitive society,
· Enhance the socio-economic status of the children and youth by engaging them in income-generating activities to enable them realize their potential and contribute meaningfully wards improved and sustainable community development programs,
· Train the youth to acquire entrepreneurial skills through seminars and demonstrations centers,
· Promote peaceful co-existence in the communities through peaceful conflict resolution measures,
